It’s not easy to keep all of your guests entertained at a large baby shower, but this quick & easy printable does.

Some guests will just sit back & relax while others (you know, the competitive ones!) will be watching intently for the win!

You can have more than one winner too, so game-play can continue for longer if your crowd is really fired up.

Baby Catchphrase

If you’ve ever played catchphrase (or watched Jimmy Fallon play catchphrase with his guests on The Tonight Show), you know how fun & FUNNY it is.

I created Baby Catchphrase & customized it for baby showers because it’s a perfect baby shower game for large groups.

There are 128 game cards in all – 115 are pre-filled with different baby-related words and 13 are blank card for you to personalize for your mom-to-be (family members’ names, where they live, new baby name or actual due date, how baby’s parents met, etc).

All you need to do is print these baby catchphrase cards, have your guests get into 2 teams & set the timer.

Teams can be as large as you want & do not need to be the same size.

Choose one player to start & set the timer for 30 seconds. This player picks one card from the top of the pile and tries to get their team to guess the word or phrase that appears on the card. Keep picking cards until the 30 second timer runs out. The other team looks over their shoulder to make sure they don’t actually say the word on the card.

Teams get 1 point for every correct answer before time is up. Then play switches to the other team & they get 30 seconds to get as many points as they can. Play as many rounds as you like until cards run out!

You can add in your own twist such as:

Each player must use mom-to-be to describe the clue.
Whoever answers the clue correctly gives the next clue (if you want your guests up & moving around).
Set the timer for just 10 seconds for “lightening rounds”.

Baby Shower 5 Second Rule

Baby Shower 5 Second Rule is a VERY fun & fast-paced game.

This is a unique baby shower game that you will not find anywhere else.

How do I know?

Because I created it for you & you can only get this baby shower game here.

Each player gets 5 seconds TOTAL per turn.

The questions are easy, but can you answer them in under 5 seconds with all the pressure on you?

Questions like “name 3 words that rhyme with cry” or “name 3 things to childproof” will get your guests scrambling to think fast.

Crazy things are said when you’re under the pressure of the 5 second timer!

Like most party games, each one as a unique twist to them that makes them fun.

Guests will need mustaches and lips to “vote” whether they think the answer is “mom” (lips) or “dad” (mustaches).

If you’re having a younger crowd, this is silly twist on a classic party game.

Guests try to toss the pacifiers into the solo cups – filled with beer (or apple juice for mom-to-be).

I’m obsessed with this Name The Baby Game.

This name game is fun for the mother-to-be and all your shower guests, and has options for both baby boys and baby girls.

The object of this baby shower game is to answer the questions with words that can also be baby names.

What Will Your Baby Look Like

Let your guests cut up photos of the new parents & rearrange them to see what the new baby might look like.

The most creative or hilarious prediction wins!

Blindfolded Baby Food Game

For this crazy funny game guests pair up.

You need jars of baby foods, spoons, and a stopwatch.

One person is blindfolded and that blindfolded person has to feed an entire jar of baby food to her partner.

Record how long it takes to finish the jar & the pair with the fastest time wins.

This game is hilarious to watch & everyone will remember it long after the baby is born.

Your guests will get seriously messy playing this game (you may want to protect them with these grown up bibs & you definitely want to put a tarp or garbage bag down on the floor!).

Pass The Present

This hilarious game is NOT messy.

You want to buy inexpensive gifts & wrap them in different sized boxes/bags. It’s up to you how many gifts to get but the more the better. I recommend enough for half of the guests.

Gifts can be things like $5 Starbucks gift cards or scratch off tickets or sweets.

You also will need something to track the time, like this seriously cute timer.

Divide the gifts up evenly among different tables.

Give each table 2 dice & set a timer for 5-8 minutes.

All the tables start rolling the dice, one person at a time & then passes it to the next person.

When someone rolls a double number they run and grab a gift from another table. Once all the gifts are taken then the people start stealing gifts from the people at other tables.

When the timer goes off, whoever has a gift gets to keep it!

This is a great ice breaker game to get everyone excited & interacting with each other.

This is a SUPER cute game for a boy’s theme.

They call it Baby Shower Answer Battle, but don’t worry – it’s played exactly the same way as family feud.

Let’s Bet!

During the shower, let everyone guess the time & day the baby will be born.

You can even include height & weight guesses.

Record all of the answers & then the prize goes to the person who guessed the closest correct answer once the baby arrives.

Finish That Rhyme

Type the line to a nursery rhyme or say it on live video and have your guests try and guess the next line.

The first to get it right, gets a point.

The one with the most points at the end, wins a prize, or just wins – however you choose to do it.

Baby Room Tour

Have your guests send in paintings they did with the baby in mind.

If you have certain colors you’re using or a theme, make sure they know this ahead of time.

You can also have them send decor or something they made by hand, etc.

Put these up in the baby room and then do a live video and do a virtual tour of the room decorated with the items they sent.

Name That “Baby” Tune

Have people post a list of as many songs with the word “baby” in it they can think of.

Give them a time limit and tell them it has to be in one list, not posted separately, as that can get messy.

The one with the most songs wins!

Who’s That Baby?

Ask family & friends to send you pictures of themselves as babies BEFORE the virtual baby shower.

You’ll definitely want to include close family like parents, grandparents, and other important relatives like aunts, uncles, etc.

Sending pictures to you needs to be simple – just ask them to use their phones to take a picture & then send it to you.

Hold up each photo on your phone during the virtual baby shower to have your party goers guess who it is.

You can also post pictures of the photos in your event if you’re not doing video and have people guess that way.

Guess How Many

This is a classic game and one that can still be done online and virtually.

You can do it however you choose, but have a lot of one item and either show it on video or post a picture of it.

Have shower goers guess how many there are of the item for a chance to win.

This can be a baby bottle full of candy, a bucket full of rocks, who cares – it’s whatever you choose.

Name That Baby (Two Ways)

This can be done in more than one way.

You could use animal themes, cartoons, or celebrities.

For the animal version, put up a list of animals and have people respond and guess the actual name of that animal’s baby.

For example, a goat’s baby is called a kid.

For the cartoon version, put up pictures in the discussion or hold up the photos on live video of famous cartoon mothers, and ask your guests to name the baby of the mother.

Same idea for celebrity baby names – name the celebrity & have your guests guess their baby name (the crazier, the better).

Diaper Raffle

When you create your online event, make sure everyone has the address of mom-to-be & invite them to send a package of diapers to enter the raffle.

In order for guests enter the drawing, their diapers must arrive before the day of the baby shower.

Each pack of diapers is equal to one raffle ticket.

You can do the drawing on live video or simply announce the winner how you please – this is up to you.

Name Our Baby

Have guests text or email you with their guesses for the new baby’s name.

Anonymously read out the guesses during the shower & have guests guess which baby names were submitted by which guest.

Diaper Raffle

How To Play

Full instructions are always included with every set.

Game 1: Classic Bingo

Play like regular bingo. Just cut up the last page & have the mom-to-be draw pictures from a bag.

Game 2: While Opening The Gifts!

Keep the party moving by combining 2 baby shower activities: play the game while mom-to-be opens her gifts!

Give one card & a pen to each guest.

The game is played WHILE the shower gifts are opened.

This is the PERFECT game for a mom-to-be who does not want to be the center of attention while opening her gifts.

Guests watch their card while presents are opened & mark their squares when they match a baby gift as it is opened.

The winner is the first guest (or guests – a few people may win at once!) who has 5 in line (5 across, 5 down or 5 diagonal) & shouts out BINGO.

Prizes can also be given to the first person (people) who gets all the squares crossed off their card.

This is a good way to keep the game going once someone gets 5 in a line.

How to Find the Best Baby Swing: 2015

BEST baby swings 2015: Whether you’re looking for the best baby shower gifts or are pregnant & need the best baby products, these are the BEST baby swings for 2015. I’m a mom who just bought a swing for my newborn baby to sleep in because she had terrible reflux. Worried about her sleeping comfortably & safely, I researched & found these to be the best baby swings - you’ll even find a variety of prices available.

With so many baby swings available it’s hard to know which is the BEST baby swing.

I was on the fence about buying a baby swing & just didn’t get around to it before the baby was born.

This was a mistake, because our baby had TERRIBLE reflux & ended up sleeping in a swing for her 1st month (sitting upright was the only way, so she was sleeping in the baby swing).

So (since I hadn’t planned ahead!), in October 2014 when she was just days old, I went walking through the baby aisles of big-name stores, desperate to buy the best baby swing.

It was an exhausting decision – partly because I hadn’t slept in a while & partly because the selection in the stores was SO BAD.

I walked around the stores with my iPhone out, checking the online prices & reviews.

Here are fun & FREE Baby Shower Games, but be warned – you might have your mom-to-be laughing so hard she she’ll pee! And all with no need for you to go shopping ahead of time!

Baby Gift Bingo

You Will Need: Print off these FREE Baby Gift Bingo cards – you will need 1 card & 1 pen for each guest.

Play The Game: While the gifts are opened, guests keep an eye on their card to see if any of their squares match with a baby gift as it is opened. The winner is the first guest (or guests – a few people may win at once!) who has 5 in line (5 across, 5 down or 5 diagonal) & shouts out BINGO.

Who’s That Baby?

You Will Need: A picture of each guest as a baby, and a paper and pen for each guest to record their guesses. Specify in the invitation if you want them to email the photo ahead of time for you to print or if they should bring their photo along with them to the shower.

Play The Game: Display all of the pictures & assign a number to each. Everyone writes down which baby picture they think belongs to which guest. Then go through the pictures as a group & to identify each baby. The person with the most correct matches wins.

Diaper Change

You Will Need: 1 roll of toilet paper per person

Play The Game: Split the group into teams and give them 5 minutes to “diaper” one of the team members using the toilet paper. Best diaper wins!

Mommy Mad Libs

You Will Need: Write a story before the shower about the mom-to-be and baby, but then blank out nouns, verbs, and adjectives.

Play The Game: Without letting them see your story, ask guest to write down nouns, verbs & adjectives in the order the blanks appear in the story. Collect their papers & then read your story out loud using their words to fill in the blanks. The group chooses the best based on whose version is the most funny.

Baby Shower Scattergories

You Will Need: Pen & paper for each guest to record their answers. Choose from 5 Baby Shower Scattegories versions (all FREE) & print 1 page for each guest:

Play The Game: For each round players need to come up with 1 answer for each category on the list & the answers must all start with the assigned letter without using the same word twice. Answers need to be original to get points – if 2 players have the same word for the same category, they both must cross out their answers. Suspicious answers? Have a vote to decide if the word is acceptable! After each category is reviewed & duplicate answers are crossed off, players count the number of words left on their answer sheet for that round & play continues with another letter. The winner has the most total points at the end of all rounds.
